Autonomous Leadless Pacing System

ALPS

Cardiac pacing with self-sustaining energy management. A leadless pacemaker platform designed to harvest energy from the heart itself.

With every heartbeat,
ALPS™ harvests
living energy.

With its self-sustaining energy design and a piezoelectric harvester, ALPS™ converts the heart's kinetic energy into electrical energy that can be stored and used to support pacing, creating a continuous energy-harvesting cycle.

A self-sustaining
pacing cycle

ALPS™ is designed as a leadless, self-sustaining cardiac pacemaker platform based on patented energy-harvesting technology. The system relies on a frequency-tuned harvester optimized for the cardiac environment.

Its functions are designed to activate according to patient needs while preserving the system's long-term energy balance.

Piezoelectric harvester. Converts the mechanical oscillations of each heartbeat into stored electrical energy.
Mechanism. Frequency-tuned harvesting designed to operate efficiently within the patient's cardiac rhythm environment.
Rechargeable battery. Unlike conventional leadless pacemakers, ALPS™ uses a rechargeable battery that stores harvested energy and releases it when required.

Paving the way in
cardiac rhythm management

Leadless architecture & reduced replacement burden
No leads, no generator pocket, and a design intended to reduce dependence on battery-driven replacement procedures.
Potential reduction in lifetime care costs
By reducing dependence on battery-driven replacement procedures and avoiding lead-related complications, ALPS™ has the potential to lower the lifetime cost of care for patients and healthcare systems.
New sensing & communication features
The energy-harvesting architecture may enable future capabilities such as inter-capsule communication and expanded sensing features.
Extended longevity potential
Powered by the continuous mechanical energy of the beating heart, ALPS™ is designed to support extended device longevity and reduce dependence on battery-driven replacement procedures.

Regulatory Notice: ALPS™ devices are not currently available for sale. Investigational use only.
